Hi Friends,
I have an Android mobile (Samsung GT-S5303). I use a free app (AirDroid) installed on my mobile to transfer/copy apps, files, photos etc, to my Fedora/Ubuntu PC. Attached image named "AirDroid Interface.png" shows its interface.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid&hl=en
While the below images show how one can transfer/copy apps, files and photos from mobile to PC (Fedora/Ubuntu in my case).
Download Apps.png
Download Files.png
Download Photos.png
But I am not able to transfer/copy SMS from my mobile to my PC and thus I have to use another free app installed my mobile called "Super Backup", but first I have to take a backup of SMS, which is in XML format and then find some method to convert this XML file into a regular text file, something I have tried to do with not much success at all.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idea.backup.smscontacts&hl=en
The following attached image shows how the SMS file in XML format looks like in Firefox browser.
SMS in XML Format in FF.png
Right now, there are only 2 SMSes so I can somehow edit them (by deleting all the tags)and save them in a text file. But I often have 200-300 SMSes, mostly sent by my collegues containing contact details of my clients, so in this scenario, how can I save them all in a text file as regular text?
A typical SMS I get looks something like this in XML format.
<sms address="DM-XYZ" time="Sep 23, 2016 6:02:42 PM" date="1474633962429" type="1" body="26, Chaples Street, Mytown, 456456" read="1" service_center="+1111111111" name="CUSTOMER NAME"/>
Thanks a lot.
