Situation: a new machine, on which ubuntu liveUSB seems to work flawlessly. However, full installation from the same liveUSB leads to the machine freezing up at random moments (during boot or after it).

Question: Is it possible to somehow manually transfer the configuration that the liveUSB boot-process figured out for a machine, to the full installation? I.e. find out which exact drivers/kernel config/etc. were determined by the liveUSB, and then use these to fix the full installation? And if the answer is yes, how much time will this, on average, take - does it still require a lot of ad hoc tweaking or is it straightforward?
