I only seem to be able to find fixes for older versions, all of which I have now tried editing the boot options in grub, and none of the command strings in the (initframs) shell session it subsequently drops me into seem to work.
It gives the error from the Live USB, but still boots.
I had thought I had cracked it, but quickly realised I had forgotten to pull the USB I installed from quickly enough at restart.
One thing I have noticed is that all of the fixes are for the standard install - does this mean I am better installing standard 16.04 and then 'upgrading' to studio after I get it working?
