How can I keep a browser site active so that it does not terminate the connection

We display a website on displays mounted in the call center, problem is that when the mouse or keyboard are not used in a period of time, the website terminates the connection due to inactivity. Is it possible to have an automated script to "jiggle" the mouse, or refresh the webpage to prevent it from terminating the login?

Firefox has an add-on where you can set a tab to reload at a specified interval.
