Hi there,
First Ubuntu installation. Followed the procedure, sticked to the suggested "share both existing OS" - 170Gb to Windows 7 NTFS partition, and around 70 to new EXT4 for ubuntu only-, and then no GRUB, no nothing. Just a black screen and, after a while (maybe a minute or so, which is pretty bad gven I have an SSD) it finally loads old Win 7. Machine is a Dell Inspiron 1525 with a new 256Gb SSD drive to replace the old one.
i am not very technical but I'll try my best to follow instructions.
