View Full Version : [SOLVED] mysql error causing Akonadi to fail

G'day

I'm using KDE neon (xenial). Akonadi doesn't work.

"akonadictl start" ends with this error message:

When I run an error check through the Akonadi Console program I get a bunch of error logs, but it seems like this one is the deal breaker:

I don't know my way around MySQL at all. I tried purging it and reinstalling but that didn't work. Any other suggestions appreciated.

Well it turns out this was remarkably easy to fix.

I just manually created the directory /var/lib/mysql-files and boom, everything worked again.
