hello i found this post while using google =) hope you dont mind but im going to bust in and ask a question since im currently trying to get lubuntu to run a l4d2 server on this older blade server i got off ebay ;p
i don't know much about linux and have gone threw like 90 distros to find one thats a nice fit and lubuntu seams to be the one i like best
im trying atm to install the steamcmd and get it running but steam cmd wont seam to open
been following this guide
http://korbinbrown.com/how-to-host-a-left-4-dead-2-server-on-linux-ubuntu/
wright en for Ubuntu
it all works ok allthe way down to the run steamcmd and stops
says
./steamcmd.sh: line 29:/home/matexoza/l4d2/linux32/steamcmd: no such file or direcory
now if i go to the file where i putt it steamcmd.sh seams to be under
/home/matexoza/l4d2/steamcmd.sh
sorry for just jumping in like that but you wouldnt belive the time iv putt in trying to get this to work
(l4d2 promod configs dont work properly on a windows server sooo thats why the need to learn to use linux one)
thank you for anyone that can help
