View Full Version : [ubuntu] System doesn't log in properly

August 13th, 2016, 11:42 AM

I'm quite new to Ubuntu and I have really weird problem. During system update (I use 16.04) and installation of some apps, by mistake I entered 'stop' in terminal. This caused disappearance of 'sidebar' and the upper one, I can compare it to killing 'explorer.exe' in Windows. Some apps disappeared (system update too), I couldn't switch between windows (Alt+Tab) or use any other schrouts (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+Delete). Then I rebooted computer. It ran properly, everything was OK. I updated system, it told me to reboot, so I did. System booted properly, but after logging in there weren't bars, Super key or schrouts didn't work (as before); I can say that on-screen keyboard worked. Hence I rebooted a few times, I upgraded system by
sudo apt update and
sudo apt upgrade then rebooted. The same occured. So I tried every option in recovery mode, but nothing helped. Can anyone help me?

Thank you :)
