I downloaded ubuntukylin-16.04.1-desktop-i386.iso. All messages, examples, etc. are in Chinese. If you do not know Chinese or have built Ubuntu before, it's impossible to know how to proceed.

That's to be expected as Ubuntu Kylin is the Chinese version of Ubuntu. :)
