What is the application that you are trying to run ?

.exe files do not run in Ubuntu by default.

As howefield said, what application you trying to run? What are you trying to do? There may be a native Linux version that will run in Ubuntu directly.

The Wine Application Database (https://appdb.winehq.org/) will give an indication of how well Windows programs will run in Linux. Some programs may run poorly or not at all. In any case, please provide us with further information about what you're trying to do.
