Change desktop in xrdp running ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Is this possible?

I have xrdp running well with MATE.

I am unable to get KDE, plasma or Cinnamon working.

A lot of posts suggests this is a problem?

Ok, so it seems KDE, plasma and cinnamon does not work with xrdp.

I have successfully installed Xfce. Works well over xrdp and I can use the GUI meny to logout.
