I can't seem to seem to get Ubuntu to boot after installing it.

I have a Windows 8 OS. It's on an acer Aspire V 15 Nitro, with a 128 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive. Windows is installed on the 128 GB SSD drive. I want Windows to be my main OS so I tried installing Ubuntu on only part of the 1 TB hard drive and then using the rest of it as a D: drive for Windows. I think the fact that my system uses a UEFI boot system is part of the problem but I can't switch to a legacy boot because Windows won't boot under that mode. I've tried things like disabling secure boot, running boot repair from the Ubuntu Live USB (and it output this pastebin http://paste2.org/1m695OJI).

Can anyone help me fix this? I'm really at a loss for what to do.

Have you seen this?

Please do not forget to make your BIOS boot on sda (1000GB) disk!

Yes I tried that. I tried changing boot order but that didn't seem to do anything. Even when I hit F12 to choose what to boot the option to boot from my 1TB Hard drive does not appear.
