Hello everybody,

My ubuntu says it boots in insecure mode, even though I selected and kept the secure mode throughout the boot process. Is there anything I can do to remove this annoying message?

Thanks,

Chris

I think you can laugh at it. Secure mode is a gadget to make it hard to run the computer with anything but Windows. And I think linux is at least as secure as Windows ;-)

Yes, but I want to get rid of it!

Please tell us about your computer:

- Computer brand name and model
- UEFI/BIOS system (brand name and version)

and please tell us where in the boot sequence it is written!

Then someone might recognize it and be able to help :-)

The computer has a i7 processor, 16Gb of RAM and a 1Tb hard disc. The UEFI is an Asus 72 and I don't know where in the boot sequence it is written!

Is it before or after the grub menu?

Maybe it will help you localize it, if you turn off the boot options 'quiet splash'. Please look for the links about 'grub boot' at
