KDE plasma was working fine for me, but there were screen tearing issues, so I installed the AMD driver, the beta pro one, because I'm going to get the new polaris card when it comes out, but it wasn't compatible with my radeon 7770 HD, and just dropped me into a command line. So i uninstalled it and rebooted. Now I'm back in the UI, but the shadows don't display correctly, and I keep getting nonspecific error messages about the compositor.
E.g. Several applications tell me that compositing isn't enabled, which they didn't before. But enabling it from konsole, or deleting .kde and rebooting, does nothing to fix the problem.
