Hi,
The question is in the title: is there any ETA on (or hope for) backports of XOrg and Mesa from 16.04 to 14.04, so that this LTS version gets better support for the latest hardware? What's the best place to file a request for this to happen?
There are backports of the kernel (linux-image*-lts-xenial) but maybe XOrg and/or Mesa have more complex dependency requirements that make backporting a nightmare (I know I'm not particularly hot on figuring this out for myself, not after the hassle it was to backport pulseaudio...)?
