Hello,
I'm using latest version of LUbuntu with LXPanel 0.8.2
"Directory menu" in LXPanel is very useful feature, but it would be even more amazing, to improve functionality, by adding the ability to display not only the directories, but also the document shortcuts (symlinks) in directory.
Example: I create a directory "Common" with subdirectorys "Work" and "Home" in it and there's shortcuts (symlinks) to the most used documents.
So, I'm getting a very handy menu with frequently used documents that are available directly from LXPanel in just a few mouse clicks.

Maybe you can offer a solution to make it?
Maybe there is any program for Lubuntu that does something like that?
I do not want every time to look for documents that I use very often, do not want to impose an overload with unnecessary shortcuts (symlinks).

I use Kupfer in 16.04. It's in the software center or just run sudo apt-get install kupfer. I make Kupfer autostart. It's pretty decent in presenting you with recent documents without the hassle of making sym links and additional folders. It has several other uses :)
