Encrypting Desktop 16.04 /home post install

Running 16.04 Desktop (64). I did not encrypt /home on install. Any recommend on a good way to do this and possible risks involved. Anyone done this and what were your results.

and as stipulated this is only known good on 12.04.

That howto should still mostly be relevant just make sure you have a backup of your data just in case, witch you should have already if you care about your data.
