Nice! The Wallpaper looks great. Thank you , getting the gradients to look smooth is the hard part. Clip-art and Ubuntu branding are easy to get. http://design.ubuntu.com/downloads?metadata=element-logo+brand-ubuntu

Am trying Linux Lite 2.8 on my ACER Aspire One D150, and liked this wallpaper so much, I'm using it on my Ubuntu-MATE 16.04 LTS box. ;)

Kubuntu 16.04

Mrs QIII and me many, many years ago when I was a new Army Officer. Notice I did not say "young" Officer. I was already somewhat older than usual before I was commissioned. :)

+1!!! I love (and stole) that wallpaper. Reminds me of when I was growing up in San Fransisco as a kid.

P.S. you quickly learned NOT to try skateboarding down most of the hills! ;)

Is that GKrellM on the right side? Amazing, I had completely forgotten that even existed, must be about 10 years since the last time I've seen it on anyone's desktop!

My latest Trusty install finally up and usable, built from an extracted minimal iso to a usb stick (I had to alter the installer components slightly for a UEFI installation).
It all started as a Gnome/Xubuntu/Xfce/Studio install, but I found I didn't like Gnome so much so added Unity as well as an after-thought. It was quite interesting getting everything set back to Unity's control, especially the greeter screens and such. Some pics of a weird hybrid style install (small things like notifications in a Unity desktop you can click away :-), must be from the Gnome install start off)...

1. Customized grub screen, the Trusty install is the top section and controls the grub screen. An Xenial installs full grub menu is available as a submenu in the bottom section ...(low quality phone pic)...

2. The Unity lightdm greeter image switched out for a plainer black/white image, and no grid dots to annoy me ...(low quality phone pic)...

3. The Unity desktops (laptop screen is at the bottom with a larger external monitor above. Same for all the double screen pics. Both screens are 1920x1080 resolution) ...
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/3_Unity-desktops_thm.png (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/3_Unity-desktops.png)

4. The Xfce desktops (love the customizable drop down menus and the desktop context menu with xfce, add nautilus to the mix with its menus and scripts and the fun starts here :-))...
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/4_Xfce-desktops_thm.png (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/4_Xfce-desktops.png)

5. The compiz cube works real well in Xfce, not so well in Unity (only have the deskwall set up there, the skydome and other features are too messed up). Though, so far in Xenial, I'm pretty impressed with the improvement of compiz and the cube etc. I am waiting a bit for Xenial to stabilize a bit more, generally, before spending too much time on it ...
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/5_TheCube_thm.png (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30874719/UF/Deskshots/5_TheCube.png)

6. The expo wall across both monitors ...

I definitely like what I'm seeing with Xenial, but Trusty is still the main system here. I expect it will be for quite a bit longer now. Now to hunt up a Debian Jessie installer to play with, LOL, plenty of room for a couple more linux installs now the Win 8.1 install got the chop a couple of weeks ago. Cheers, yeti.
