Hi! I am preparing for the change to Ubuntu 16.04: I installed 16.04 gnome flashback (because I just want a simple command line) and ran into a number of annoyances. Can anybody please give me hints:

1) How can I customize the task bar (i.e. add new cllckable entries)? Under Ubuntu 14.04 this was done with Win+Alt+right mouse button in 14.04!
2) How can I make the taskbar disappear (autohide)?
3) I am missing the up and down arrows in the terminal allowing for moving up and down by one line by clicking on the up and down arrows. Any suggestion of how to bring it back?
4) maybe somebody can point me to a tutorial summarizing of how one can get back to the original gnome desktop that has all the features I need?
Thanks, D-E

1) I think it's Alt+rightclick. 4) Did you install gnome-flashback, or gnome-session-flashback? Try installing gnome-session-flashback if you haven't yet.

Thanx, but Alt rightclick and all possible and imaginable combinations do not work and I have gnome-session-flashback already installed!

I have gnome-panel installed.

I just dragged icons to desktop for Firefox & Thunderbird. Then used alt and dragged with mouse to top bar and they stuck.

No issues in terminal.
