formatting usb without gparted, how?

Sorry for my poor memory, but I went to format a sandisk drive and the gparted was missing from my new 16.04LTS application menu. When I went to the Muon package manager, gparted was also not to be found. Can anyone tell me what to use instead?

That was interesting, gparted was found after I re-installed 16.04, so never mind. Issue must have been a fluke from using the updater on the first install.
