Before seeing the above post, I used " sudo update-manager -d". and spent many hours watching it update. But now when I do a "sudo apt-get update" I see it go to the Trusty updates so what gives? I thought I went from 14.04 to 16.04.
I don't like Gnome, either! I was using KDE. Now I can't get windows to minimize, opening and closing apps isn't easy. Finding apps is an outright PITA!
