i sent this email to all the people in my computer science classes and professors(http://cs.georgefox.edu/~jdodson/getArchive.php?gettedDate=20040401093650). a few people bought it.

after reading that list again, i actually think some things are true. some are not true though, its not as funny as i remember it was when i wrote it last year.

If someone I'd look up to did that joke on me, boy would I weep hard ..

Anyway, I remember last year's April Fool's day's Suprnova.org sick (OMG) joke:
The website was completely in Japanese, and the only thing in english was them saying that they received donations only from japanese, and that with all that money they were moving to japanese and make it a Japan only .torrent site [they even said they had gathered enough money to have their own satellites in space <-- that's when things got fishy]. But still, a whole day with suprnova on japanese! Oh the humanity..

OK even if I didn't know you, that's hilarious.

How did people think you were serious, really? you just plug it in and it magically works with no problems whatsoever?!?! Ahhh, people crack me up daily, and I hadn't gotten a laugh from them all day. I was starting to get worried, but it was just a little late.

My favorite april fool's joke is a classic one...

A while ago, when I was in college, I bought the guy I was dating a card for an april fool's joke...

It was a baby card with "CONGRATULATIONS! NEW DADDY!" in it...

hehehehehe. April Fool's!

Yeah ok, that was evil. But fuuuuuuuuuuuuuunny.

Edit: (No, he did not think it was so funny - I bought him a kitten. heh.)

Check out Ebaumsworld's celebrity prank phone calls (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/morepranks.shtml). It includes "soundboards" which are celebrity audio clips that can be used to make prank phone calls and also inludes some clips of actual prank phone calls using the clips. If you listen to the actual prank phone calls first, and then study what is available in the soundboard, you should be able to pull off some good prank calls. We used them today at our office and were able to get two people so good that it was all we could do to keep them from hearing us laughing over the phone.

Debian will be changing its name to vrms/HURD

It has been decided and declaired that all applications and utilities not developed by Richard Stallman himself will be moved to non-free. Only Emacs will remain in main. Perhaps the HURD kernel will be allowed also. All hardware support has been deleted from the archives, as well as all Linux kernel images and all modules that aren't required by kerosine-powered Russian war surplus machines. Coal powered machines were not considered because of ecological reasons.

I must admit, they're awesome, I'm using them on everybody; just randomly have it say "do the chickens have talons?" and it makes people crack. The Dr. Phil ones are AWESOME though. Good resource, I wish I knew of these earlier!
