How can you be out of stock when its a Pre-Order?

I was looking forward to this (Well i still am :) )... But please dont taunt us, remove the pre-order link if you cant deliver!

It is bad news for you but good news in another sense. Demand is greater than supply. That should please the money men at BQ. They should make another production run & then it may be purchased through the usual type online ordering method.

I doubt that the maintainers of the Ubuntu.com web site would know that the product was out of stock.

Yes, but the ubuntu.com advert should now be removed & and who would do that without being told what new advert to replace it with? I am guessing that you did not find out it was out of stock until part way through the ordering process. Clicking "Pre-order now" does not inform us. It only takes us to the BQ web site. And there is nothing there to say "out of stock."
