Hi there gals and guys.
What i've figured out so far is that this is because of the uefi/legacy bios misery.
What i could do until now is that i've downloaded a bios with tons of opportunities to change literally everything. I just don't know what to set up to make xubuntu (or ubuntu) work with a straight forward next-next-finish installation.
There are too many variables to try everything.
I guess i need to mess around with Legacy/UEFI bios, i can set up either or and Legacy first / UEFI first.
I can set up IDE and AHCI as well.
And there is something with native ide, legacy ide, ahci etc... i can take a photo of everything if it helps, but if there is someone of you who can tell me this from the guts, it'd help a lot.
Windows is way too slow for this pc, and i only use it for writing and some limited facebook anyway.
thanks a lot!
cheers

Yeah. It's a Lenovo S205. And here is the bios i'm using right now. i can go back to the official one with 2 mouseclicks no prob.

The installations iso is a 15.10 desktop on a 8gib stick i guess. but i've tried several. no luck.
