Welcome to the forum.:)
Was this an upgrade to 15.04 or a new install?
Upgrades can be problematic, I prefer doing a new clean install of the newer version. The new 16.04 LTS version Xenial Xerses will be available in just a few weeks.

I'm not really sure what your question is please give us a bit not details on what you are trying to accomplish

You should also be aware that 15.04 is no longer supported so you really should upgrade to a supported version or reinstall with a supported version, currently 15.10 or 14.04, both of which can be upgraded directly to 16.04 when released in just over 4 weeks time.

Was this a direct upgrade from 14.04 to 15.04 and when did you do this? How did you carry out the upgrade?

i did it over a USB stick not upgraded directly.

the problem now seams to be booting from a external disk.

Not quite sure what you mean by that, but try changing the boot-priority in the BIOS back to the hard disk as first priority.
