I'd like to know that as well.
I've enabled that driver but I haven't noticed any difference.

To fix firmware on AMD processors, mainly for stability and efficiency. When an update rises, it is applied at boot time.
It is rare when this is updated, though. There will be no harm, eventually!
There is also a version of this for Intel processors, it is called Intel microcode.

That's kind of what I was guessing. It's nice to have it confirmed, thank you.
I hadn't realised there was an Intel equivalent.

As this laptop is about five years old I don't think that there will be any updates coming along soon.
