Dear all,

I have a weird problem with my lubuntu install (it happend on two complete installs in a row).

first I can successfully install lubuntu (from usb)
then I reboot the computer (take out the usb device as soon as the screen turns black)
lubuntu boots from harddisk as I would expect it to and everything works fine
then I reboot again after a while but it wouldn't boot anymore (screen saying that 'all boot options are tried..' ) and never boots again

Before the same notebook run elementaryOS, netrunner, bodhi without any problems....

cheers dff

edit: bios displays no boot options at all

Update:

- tried to install LXLE alongside lubuntu ---> failed at Grub install
- downloaded and booted with boot-repair-disk. Successfully completed "recommended rapair" (http://paste.ubuntu.com/14503882/)
- Booting into lubuntu worked again but only exactly once!!??

Welcome. Straight after you boot the machine, could you try hitting F12. Just tap it. That gets you to a boot device list on many machines. If it doesn't, check the manual for your machine for the key for boot device options at boot, not BIOS. Can you see the hard drive there and what happens when you boot from it?
