I'm looking for a widget that displays events using the colour set by the user.
In essence I'm interested in something that mimics the google calender app in android.
I have attached two pics that show an idea of what I have in mind.

Google-ing has yielded no solution.
My system is a Dell Optiplex 755 running Kubuntu 14.04.
