Laptop with Atom Processor

Hey guys so i recently got a couple of the old mini laptops one is an HP mini 110 and the other is the Dell mini that you would get free with an Inspiron from a friend but i was wondering what OS would i use i know the processor is really slow but is there a way to make it some what faster or is it just something i will have to deal with.
