I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and I got a notice that there was an upgrade for my OS. The upgrade was 7 KB. I downloaded & installed it and then I reboot the laptop. Now I cannot see my notifications in the top bar. My network notification is missing along with Skype & Transmission even though both should be running. I checked the programs to see if they were turned off in this little upgrade and they are untouched. I'm running Gnome as a desktop environment. I've attached a screen of my icons so you can see. I do not have a screen shot of the icons before hand as I did not know this update was going to kill them. :(

Any help would be great. Just tell me what info you need. Thanks.

Well this will happen from time to time..
Some times just re-login works, or for myself I have to run in terminal...

killall gnome-panel
Sometime they just do not re-order correctly.
Hope this was helpful.
