Fishshell/Terminal unable to change opacity

Yesterday I was able to change my opacity in terminal using Profile Preferences>Background, and this also worked with fishshell, however I've just installed GNOME and the "Background" tab has disappeared (see attached screenshot). If anyone can tell me how to permanently change opacity I would very much appreciate it.

Problem solved, for anyone having the same issue/just wants to know, I removed gnome-terminal and installed xfce4-terminal
