I apologize if this topic has already been addressed; I didn't see any relevant posts, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Anyway... I just upgraded to Xubuntu 15.1 and since then Inkscape simply will not launch. I made attempts in Terminal, but was confronted by this message: "/usr/bin/inkscape
/usr/bin/inkscape: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkmm-2.4.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" After the first time this happened I went into Synaptic and found that all of the libgtkmm-2.4 package needed to be installed; so I did that, along with 3.0. Alas, even after running these installs nothing has been resolved. I even removed and reinstalled Inkscape after the libgtkmm installs. ... hmmm...
