Hello,

Can anyone recommend a 64 bit compatible Beowulf cluster distro? Cluster Knoppix choked on my 64 bit file system. I'd also like it to be a LIVE distro; so I can add it to a pen-drive.

Thanks, Hannibal

I don't know if this of any possible use to you, but further down the page Ubuntu Server edition is mentioned, so.....that would seem to indicate it's certainly one possibility:-

https://www-users.cs.york.ac.uk/~mjf/pi_cluster/src/Building_a_simple_Beowulf_cluster.html

First I've ever heard of this, I must admit!

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Mike. ;)

I think I like the NPACI Rocks approach the best. This distro includes automatic distributed node discovery. I did download the Jumbo DVD; and tried to install it to a pen-drive with UNetBootin; but it complained that it couldn't find the iso. It did this after I had already pointed it to the iso; and installation had already begun. Strange.
