trying to set up a dual boot with windows 8.1 followed all the major guides, ubuntu 15.10 is install but the computer boots straight to windows still.

I see it is an Acer.
All Acer we have seen so far require you to set an UEFI password and then set "trust" on the grub/shim efi boot files.

I think these are all the same, but some have more details than others.
