If I try to install updates for Ubuntu 14.04 through the terminal it won't work, I have to do it through about my computer. In the terminal a lot of err and failed lines come up and it takes forever for this failed update to take place. I also try applying changes to switch to a proprietary guide for my graphics card but a few seconds after I start the download it stops and leaves me with the recommended xorg driver that's open source, which I don't want. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
