I am planning on wiping my hard drive and doing a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04.3. Does it come with a driver for ethernet pre-installed, because I have no way else to get on the internet to download drivers.

I presume you mean a cable ethernet connection, in which case the answer is "yes"; your computer is most likely to find the network and be internet connected without a problem.

Use the "Try without installing" option from the USB/DVD first and you will very soon see any possible problems.

It is recommended that we install Ubuntu with an ethernet or wired connection to a router. Then the installation can be updated during the install process. The same installation process may detect the need for a WiFi driver which it can then download and install. This would making an after installation setup of WiFi much easier. So, having an ethernet connection during installation is considered as standard for Ubuntu.
