View Full Version : Installing perf tool on custom kernel

Hi all,

I wish to install the perf tool but I am running a custom kernel (Nvidia Linux for Tegra R21.2). I know there are other posts floating around talking about installing the tool manually: http://askubuntu.com/questions/395118/how-to-install-perf-on-a-custom-build-kernel?rq=1

Unfortunately, I have to use this kernel. The posts I come across say I can compile the tool myself but I don't know how to do that. I'm afraid I'm going to need step-by-step instructions on how to install perf on a custom kernel. :(

Thanks for your help!
