I have a few users on my "restricted" list on facebook, which stops them from seeing my public posts; however,

They can still post to my timeline - ???

I post here because facebook forums are not help and facebook, as large as it is, has no customer help phone #

All the other kids from school have Facebook and there's alot of bullying and stalking and other weirdness. I never had a Facebook and from all I hear, I never want one! Anyway I recommend a completely different social network called Diaspora (https://www.diasporafoundation.org/). It's a FOSS alternative that alot of Linux users have adopted. I just started an account (https://sweet_baby_jamie@failure.net) there and it has alot of cool features that Facebook doesn't, like rich-text formatting in posts. It doesn't have instant messaging yet but they're working on that too.

Thanks for the intelligent post, but in my parts, facebook (unfortunately) is the gold standard of social media that "everyone" uses. Bullying/stalking and other weird things is just a reflection of society - if it happens on facebook, it will happen on Diaspora too.

also it can happen even if you do not have an account on it. except in that case you might not know about it.

doesn't Facebook have any tech support? because i think they do have something.

The only tech support facebook has is a forum online, and I used it previously and never got an answer or any satisfaction.
