It seems 15.10 installs both flash and gnash...

Hello Gang,

After updating from 15.04 to 15.10, Firefox was running like crap. Even though I have my plugins set to 'ask to activate', it seems flash was always running. I deleted my .mozilla file and started fresh, but I just couldn't get flash to NOT run. So I went to reinstall flash and I noticed both flash and gnash were installed.

I completely removed gnash and it fixed the problem.

I readily admit that I may have misdiagnosed the problem, but just in case, I thought I'd mention it here.

Gnash is not part of a default installation of either 15.04 or 15.10, nor is it installed when you upgrade from 15.04 to 15.10. You must have installed it yourself at some point and then forgotten about it.

Good to know. Thanks. As I said, I may not be correct. Luckily, this solution worked for me.
