Hi there

The upgrade to 15.10 broke my Nvidia optimus stuff, after 3 hours of work I finally fixed most of it but in the process something broke down.
when logging in I only get a nautilus desktop, from which I can open up a terminal, "setsid unity" brings back the panels, but without clock, indicators and without the global menu.
I've reset all the unity and compiz settings and nothing seems to work even a completely new user with all default settings doesn't fix it.
How do I fix my unity-session so it autostarts correctly?

Hi,
Remove the ~/.cache/compizconfig-1 and ~/.config/dconf/user. That helped me to solve the same problem
Or post unity logs

I removed them but somehow those files ended up being for the root user, I chown-ed everthing back to me and removed the config files but the problem still persists :-(
I tried resetting the settings again after this but it didn't work either :-(
also .xsession-errors is empty.

now it doesn't even start manually anymore.
edit: doing a dconf-reset fixed the manual part.
