Hi,

I am new to Linux & Ubuntu, and trying to install Ubuntu to replace Linpus Lite on Acer Laptop. I installed it yesterday following the method shown in the installation page of ubuntu, however when I restarted the laptop it went back to Linpus Lite and hangs up. However if USB is connected it boots fine. Now I understand that Ubuntu is installed on USB.

I need assistance while installing on laptop, I have following questions:

Which option to choose while installation:
1. Erase disk and install with LVM
2. Something else

I would like to split my hard drive as well.

When i select option 1, than I get this message

"The partition tables of the following devices are changed:
LVM VG Ubuntu-vg, LV root
LVM VG ubuntu-vgm LV swap_1
SCSI1 (0,0,0) sda

The following partitions are going to be formatted:
LVM VG ubuntu-vg, LV root as ext4
LVM VG ubuntu-vg, LV swap_1 as swap
partition #1 of SCSI1 (0,0,0) sda as EFIboot
Partition #2 of SCSI1 (0,0,0) as ext2"

When I selection option 2, something else, than

I get a list of folder option and I cant make out what should i do with them!

Please help with installation of ubuntu
