- I do not know why a link would not be on the download page, maybe because it's a secure download mirror. I found that link after a quick google search for "verify Ubuntu download", it wasn't that hard. The time you spent making that post and waiting on an answer, you could've found it yourself.

Thanks I saw it now, it is at the bottom of the page under " Installation Guides"
Why is verifying not emphasized?

Another option is to go here, click on a distribution and then scroll down to see MD5 sums and download options like torrent etc.
