The wallpaper is named Lost Aurora and apparently I got it from here (http://pichost.me/1631078/) if I go off the filename.

So yeah it's pretty much the same theme on both my computers. I have some programs on my desktop that I don't have on my laptop like Blender because the intel graphics chip in my laptop is no match for the nvidia gtx in my desktop also my desktop is dual core and the laptop is a celeron. But I have a LAMP server running on my laptop that is not running on my desktop because I work more on my laptop when I am making a website and/or using php/mysql for the website. I install my games on my desktop but not on my laptop, so far I have Minecraft, Terraria, and Borderlands 2 installed on the desktop using Steam that was installed from this link (http://store.steampowered.com/about/) after numerous failures trying to use the software center to install it, but I did install freeDOOM (http://www.playdeb.net/updates/ubuntu/14.04/?q=freedoom) on my laptop because face it DOOM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doom_%28series%29) is awsome for killing time while uploading and compiling stuff.

Frogs Hair (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=1024576), do you dual boot or are they on two different machines?

Frogs Hair
September 4th, 2015, 09:33 PM
Yes , I dual boot and I have two computers. The desktop is a mono boot with Win 10 for now. It was dual boot with Win 7, but I needed to do a clean installation of Win 10 after my free upgrade. The Netbook is running the 15.10 development release and Win 7 and might get Win 10 if some of the drivers and software get updated.

I briefly considered dual booting but went ahead and did a full install of Ubuntu on both my computers. I did quite a bit of research on Linux dev software and web/desktop development on Linux before I decided to pull the plug completely on Windows so I knew what alternative software I had to install to be able to do the same work I was using Windows for.

Wow QIII (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=628170), I didn’t even know Oracle had an OS.

I found that wallpaper at this link - http://wallpaperdesktopdownload.com/abstract-black-wallpapers-hd/

I was pretty sure I had seen that one before.

I see Numix is a popular theme. One of the main reasons I like to use Numix theme is that it doesn't throw errors when opening gui apps via gksu from the terminal.

Yes it gets some pretty funny head turns, I too could not afford to pay out for it.

It was gifted from a previous job. I must confess it was little different for me being accustom to 18-21 speeds to
Shimano XT M8000 11-speed, and it messed with my center of gravity.

I've been working for a little bit on a new layout and feel to my desktop. I wanted to make it less "Mac my way" and more "Chrome OS my way". Also took time to switch from xfwm4 to kwin to add a little more life to the desktop. And yes, I did try Compiz, but I personally prefer kwin both for setting up and seeming less buggy. I also had the resources to spare, so why not.

All that said, some information:
Icons: Humanity Dark Pink from Ravefinity: http://www.ravefinity.com/p/humanity-colors-icon-theme.html
Appearance: Numix
Window Theme: Simplicity (black): http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Simplicity?content=165097
Panels: The top panel is set to solid black. The bottom is actually two transparent panels.
Wallpaper 1: http://www.spirit1059.com/pics/Feeds/Articles/2015611/118317/Beach.jpg
Wallpaper 2: I don't know how I found that one actually, and using reverse image search on Google didn't help me find the right one.
