Good afternoon everyone,
I am extremely new to linux and have been trying to install the new version of lubuntu with the 3.19 kernel (when it starts to boot my screen turns black).
Previously I had installed version 14.04 (and subsequently upgraded) and everything was working fine.
If I manually go to the grub menu and select the option to boot 15.04 with kernel 3.13 everything loads fine. If I try to boot with the new kernel my screen basically powers off (but I think it is still loading). I am able to boot 15.04 with the 3.19 kernel in recovery mode. I have searched quite a bit for a solution (i think this is a driver issue) to make this work. I have read through the main thread and am still at a loss at what I should do. I know this computer is rather dated and ultimately that is my issues but I was hoping someone has encountered similar issues and maybe can point my in the correct direction to get this to work.
