I had a pending upgrade from about two weeks that I did just two days back. Now after the upgrade, when I am using goggle's chrome browser (Version 44.0.2403.155 unknown (64-bit))
* like typing in the address bar froze the OS
* Right click shows a black rectangular box, instead of context sensitive menu in the browser.
* Clicking on drop down box, displayed a blacked out rectangle instead of options.
These issues dont appear consistently, but only chrome browser is having these issues.

My ubuntu version is 14.04 LTS 64 bit.

What can I do to resolve these issues, I dont want to un-install chrome !

Thanks

I uninstalled my current version of chrome and installed the following chrome version 45.0.2454.37 beta (64-bit) from ubuntu software center app. I have used beta chrome a bit and issue seems to be resolved. Now using chrome does not freeze the OS.
