14.04 xscreensaver crashes after 15 minutes

Hello,

I am in a Flashback Compiz session in 14.04 and xscreensaver will crash after about 15 minutes
forcing me to reboot. I get the following alert:

The System is running in low graphics mode.

Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings
could not be correctly detected. You will need to configure
these yourself.

I have removed gnome-screensaver.

Apparently, there's a problem with this package:

xserver-xorg-core-lts-utopic2:1.16.0-1ubuntu1.2-trusty2

BTW, I counldn't send the report because of the crash. Also, this tool would be a lot easier to use if it
has the Edit > Select All option like Terminal does.
