can't run ubuntu on C7

I got a C720 a was back. I installed chrUbuntu on it and it worked like a chram until I messed up some audio settings I couldnt' get to right again so I decided to reinstall chrubuntu but it never runs properly. It appears to install fine but then I go to boot it only gets as far as the comand line login prompt. Does anyone know what can be down to fix this?

i does not know that flavour, but considering such issue with the other flavours, try to switch from lightdm to gdm or else (sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm) from a virtual session (ctrl alt Fn)
