Hi,

I am trying to install Ubunut 14.04 LTS in my ASUS X55U Laptop. Installation completed successfully, but after reboot, its asking for boot device, select the HDD for boot. But after booting OS not loading, its shows a blank screen only [in OS Color].

Is there any settings change in os installation? Or in BIOS?

Kindly provide a solution.

-Jay

Welcome. Are you dual-booting with Windows? Are you installing in legacy or EFI/GPT mode? If the latter, you need to boot to the BIOS and switch off secureboot then try the install again.

Thanks for your advice..

Not dual-booting only for ubuntu. I have installed 32 bit OS, is there any problem on that?

You are running a 64bit processor. Install 64bit. That probably is not the problem, though. You have not responded to the EFI/legacy question in my last post nor given the results of installing with secureboot switched off in the BIOS.

You are going to need to give more detail for us to help you.
