Threads have been merged.

Considering the location of the billboard (high concentration of tech workers/sysadmins), putting 'ubuntu.com' on the billboard might have been redundant.

Think of it like this: Canonical needs to create buzz/interest among sysadmins. Sysadmins and their corporate masters are Canonical's meal ticket--not individual users.

It's a bit low to the ground, but it's visible all right. Very exciting.

For those who are curious, you have to be on 101 North. It's just past the Ralston exit.

If you're heading south on 101, you might have to rubberneck a little bit to see it.

There are two distinct billboards, and they're actually a good distance from the ground. They're hard to miss. I was too slow to take a picture of it, though.
