I am trying to install Ubuntu 14 64-bit on Wipro Ego laptop, It boots fine from memory stick, works well during manual partition phase , when I click on Installation, it shows up terminal with starting the message: “bug: unable to handle kernel null pointer dereference at Null …. Kernel Panic, not syncing. Fatal exception in interrupt” and stops the total installation process. I am connected to power, have 52 GB space on disk/6 G RAM, and connected to the Internet. I have tried multiple times. I also tried Ubuntu 12.04 with similar results.

If anybody else has faced the same problem, please provide resolution. I have win 7 installed on other partition and want to make dual boot .

that often happen when the ram voltage is set to 'auto' into the bios/uefi; switch 'cpu frequency' on 'manual' to access to 'ram voltage': set the recommended voltage for your sticks
